Green Street Patisserie & Café was founded in 2004 by Jane and Malcolm DeAugustine. Both born to farmers, they realized that most produce traveled hundreds of miles before reaching its destination only to arrive after peak freshness had long passed.

Jane was a long-time advocate of food security efforts while Malcolm concentrated on local, sustainable agriculture and economic development in the area. The DeAugustines decided to combine forces and take matters into their own hands.

Both passionate bakers, Malcolm began to roast his own coffee blends while Jane expanded and reinvented her already vast collection of local recipes. Together Green Street is known far and wide for fresh, organic, whole foods that are locally sourced and a true farm-to-table experience.

Jane & Malcolm reside just a few miles away from Green Street in Augusta with their cat, Buttercup. Stop in and meet Jane, Malcolm, Astrid, Joseph, and the rest of the team today – and you’ll likely find her Buttercup sitting in the window by the café.
